Bova Bar is a small jazz bar with live music every night. The bar attracts with low prices and friendly staff. Minus for smokers – it is forbidden to smoke inside. Opening hours: from 15:00 to 4 am daily, except Sunday. Sunday from 17:00 to midnight.

James Joice Irish Pub-Authentic Irish bar owned by a real Irishman. From Thursday to Sunday from 22.00 there is live Irish music. Bar regulars exchange books in English. There is a huge screen with sports programs and a bulletin board where guests can leave notes to each other. Traditional brunches (a cross between breakfast and lunch) include pork sausages and black pudding, which are brought from Ireland. Real rock sounds on weekends. The pub is full until 4am.

Bar Pano Saraphanesi– a wonderfully restored century-old Greek wine cellar on a street corner opposite the British Consulate. Beer, local wine and fine, light Turkish food. The owners of this bar also own Cumhuriyet Meyhane, another historic drinking establishment in the city on the corner of the Fish Market.
