Espadrilles

The look: Espadrilles are lightweight shoes made of linen or cotton with a small linen-cord braided sole.  The classic models are closed without lacing and embellishments and belong to the slippers. Espadrilles were originally made in Spain and southern France and are still popular with tourists. For the first time fashion espadrilles were in the 1980s and were voted”the most popular summer shoe” in 1980. In recent years, the comfortable shoe has undergone a revival, is made of espadrille wedges or espadrille peeptoes, made of leather or decorated with lacing around the ankle.

Styling tips:Whether for the navy look in striped, the puristic look of white leather or with embellishments for the perfect ethnic look-espadrilles are by no means just slippers for the beach. In the 21st century, they have also ventured into the streets of the big cities and, due to the variety and the beautiful braided sole, are pretty alternatives to classic sandals and sandals. Our styling tip: Simple espadrilles fit almost every summer outfit-just look for the color selection. Cheap models are best to get on vacation. Patterned espadrille wedges look especially great to Maxikleidern. No-Go: Always carry barefoot espadrilles-do not combine with socks or pantyhose and keep away from evening outfits.
